Thanks for the offer Sammy!
It is a done deal!
Katrina and Hughleen at the Shirley Creek Camp ground have hit it off over the phone!
We have them holding 10 camp sites with water and electric next to the lake.
The sites are $15.00 per site per nite, we are allowed 2 buses per site.
Hughleen mentioned that we would be able to fish from our sites if we have a fishing license and pole (they have bait and a lake)
There is no burn ban in place right now and she thinks it will stay lifted, so we can have a fire.
They have a cafe on site that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Hughleen would like a little heads up if we want to have their breakfast buffet for $5.00 each saturday or sunday morning, and they are prepared to make sack lunches for us if we want them.
The place sounds pretty nice, we are not going to be able to go up and do a recon mission this weekend, so we will all find out on friday March 24th!
(unless Ronnie goes up early and reports back to us)

IT'S GONNA BE FUN!

Didn't recommend Camp Tonkawa the other day when it was suggested. However, since it appears that neither Shirley Creek or Tejas can accomodate many busses, it may be worth looking into. It's not bad, and probably has space to accomodate as many busses as you guys can round up. If you an Katrina are going to come look this weekend it's probably worth a look. It's about 10 miles north of Nac not far off of 259. Shirley Creed is about 15 miles south east of Nac on the lake.

By the way, I'm in for the sponsorship of the Classic. Just tell us how much and where to send money.

I'm not sure if I will drive up Saturday AM and spend the night afterwards or maybe go up a couple of days early try the fishing at Shirley's campground. The fishing and some chilling sounds pretty good.

Let me know what you think of Shirley's.

Subject: [tcb] Nacogdoches show camping?

We (katrina) has been working on the camp out plan for the Nacogdoches show. The place we stayed last year, Mission Tejas State Park only has 4 (2 tent,2 R.V.) sites for the weekend of the 24th and 25th, (friday and saturday) We checked a couple other places around the area. The best thing we could come up with is Shirley Creek.

The lady there is holding 10 sites near the water for us. She is giving us a discount rate of $15.00 per site per nite.
She told Katrina 1 bus per site.
We are thinking we may head up to Nac. this weekend and scout out the place and get back to the list.
I would like to know about how many of you think you might go.
Katrina and I have decided NOT to try and make the Austin AirCoolers event on sunday.
