I did a quick look and since I'm pondering this issue on a couple of 'dubs for 
three point harnesses here's my $0.02

On my DC in the rear I bought Sand Rail weld on tabs and reinforced the area on 
the seat rest.  Welding 1/4" plate on 40+ year old
16 gauge isn't very effective.  The upper mount is still something I'm thinking 
about.  Invariably I can't fish some metal behind there so
I'm looking at plate (formed) with plug welds.

anyway, there's a reference to this one vendor that I'm looking at.  The issue 
on a three point is reinforcement 
of the material.  If you could get a piece of 3/8" plate up behind the pillar 
then you'd be in business for the upper mount.
