Hi Yvonne,

So the issue is essentially that you can't copy and paste, right? If you
don't have notes/quick word on your phone you can copy from a text message.
I've just tried it on my e66 just in case and it worked as it should. Try the
following:
  Open a new message.
  Type income support
Put the cursor on the first letter i.e. the letter i.
Bring up the options menu (soft key one) and select editing options
submenu>copy.
Press soft key one to start highlighting and then arrow right until the
phrase (income support) is highlighted.
Press soft key two to copy.

Now you should be able to paste (income support) as many times as you like
any where be it in a memo or any other edit field.

I hope that works for you.

Sorry if I sounded snappy in my earlier post. Though I still think, IMHO,
using the recurring feature in meetings is quicker specially if you are going
to have this memo repeated every fortnight for the next few months.

  HTH,
  Amro

  hi amro
for some reason unknown tome there is no quick notes in the n86
this is unless i have deleted it
no intention of being demanding so if this is how it comes across to others
then apologies from me
i am able to do this on my e90 because i have quick notes installed
somehow i need to add these words to a text or word document then copy and
paste
but without quick notes installed and quick office not able to be used
because i don't have the license to use it i am stuck for a solution
i can type it in each entry but that is time consuming
so i am seeking a way of copying and pasting without the ability of quick
notes and quick office
once again apologies if i sound demanding
  i don't intend to be
  Yvonne

Hi Yvonne, but who cares! I agree, it is not a meeting what you need to
enter in your calendar but Nokia in their wisdom didn't include a recur feature
in memos.

Unless there's something else I am missing here I would say, lets not get
bogged down in semantics! *smile*

    Cheers,
    Amro

      hi amro
      to a degree
however it is not a meeting
it is an event otherwise known as a memo
so if i can be told how to do this with memo's
      that would solve my query
      thank you
      Yvonne

Yes Yvonne. Say you want to have a calendar entry that says (income
support) next Monday and to be repeated every fortnight thereafter. You do thus:

        -open calendar
-go to the date when you want the reminder to start. That would be next
Monday January 24 in this example.
-bring up the options menu and select new entry>meeting. A new entry
dialog will appear.
-type subject (that would be income support in this example) then arrow
down once.
-choose what time of the day your income support meeting is then arrow
down four times.
-press select and choose from the list how long before your meeting you
want the alarm to sound off. If you don't want to set an alarm for your income
support meeting ignore this field and leave it set to (off) and arrow down once.
-press select and choose from the list how often you want the income
support meeting entry to be repeated. In this example you would arrow down
three times through the list and select fortnightly.
-set any other fields in the new entry dialog if you wish and once
finish press key two (done).

That's it, your income support calendar entry has been set on Monday
and it will be repeated every fortnight.

        Have I answered your question?

        Amro

          hi
not sure you follow what i mean here.
i need to add the same 2 words "income support" to dates occurring
each fortnight [every 2 weeks]
if i go to not repeated i cant add the same information can i.
all i need to do is find a faster way of adding these 2 words "income
support " to calendar date entries each fortnight
not keen on typing those 2 words everytime i need to add them to a
specific date in the calendar
          Yvonne

I don't think that is the way to do it, creating a note I mean.
When you are creating a new entry in calendar, one of the fields is entry
recurring. In the new entry dialog arrow down few times until Talks say (not
repeated). Hit the select button there and set how often you need that reminder
to be repeated.

            Amro

              hi
i want to add the same event to my calendar for each month
for example income support and d l a dates
however i can't seem to be able to do it
i can if i want to go down each month and type the information in
but there must be a faster way
i heard that something called notes can do this by adding a note
and copying it to the clipboard then pasting in to the required date on the
calendar
              but i can't find notes
              .

looked in applications and also in tools but nothing saying notes
can anyone tell me where this application can be found?
              i am using a nokia n86

also would anyone know of another way to do this?
i did try composing a text message but when i copied it and
pasted it all i got was my phone number so that didn't work
              thank you
              Yvonne
