Hi.

I'll ask my brother who still uses Virgin to see what the deal is. Your right in that it used to apply to Virgin Bites, but I think they've extended it to the open internet now as they have to remain compettative. Calling and texting isn't the revenue maker it once was.

All the best, Ibrahim.

I knew they used to do that for the VM bites,
didn't know about it for open access. That may
be a better deal than it initially looks as if
you honestly work out how many days you will use
the Internet out of the month you may get under
£5, and if you use it a scrap then you may only
pay a few pence for that day depending on the rules of the deal.

That was my primary reason for switching from Virgin, the data plans. I'm told that they have a better offer on data now, 30 pence per day for unlimited (or what they call unlimited) access per day. That still adds up to a hefty 9 quid a month though presuming you use it daily so not very good value.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Oh yes, I was happy with Virgin Mobile until
March 2006 when I ported my number to 3, nothing
against Virgin I liked their service but wanted
the 3G services. Now I get good value Internet
and a good service from 3 instead which surely
has the biggest 3G network in the UK. Back on
topick, if you use much Internet on Virgin Mobile
it will cost you a bit, that is their money maker
as the last I knew it cost 0.5 pence per KB, that's just over £5 per MB.

Couldn't agree more. In my own home when I was on Virgin, I'd get a minimum of 5 bars which is good for almost anything unless its the fastest internet speeds your after. If Three are going to network share with t-mobile, coverage is definatly going to improve and furthermore you'll be able to use the internet, video and voice functions not to mention texting etc and this will come out of your allowance as usual. I was on a contract with one to one back in 2001 as well and never experienced poor coverage issues.

All the best, Ibrahim.

I used to use one2one from around 2001 to 2003 and liked them a lot. People's view of network coverage always depends on where they live and where they go but I had it quite good. For me, O2 used to have dreadful coverage a few years back when I last tried them but I know they are popular with lots of people.

It is ironic.

Umm! Let's see now? Why don't we go with the UK service with the worst
coverage we can which will entice our customers to stick with us... Not!

When T-mobile were one2one, we used to call them one2none as no one could get coverage with them but, only had their handsets because the tariffs were so good. But, then, they had to be to attract people even though they would never be able to use their minutes but, then at least, they could feel good
about thinking they had a good deal.

I don't like T-mobile! Not that anyone would have guessed.

Cheers.

Paul

Yes they are using orange but part of that agreement is that they stop using O2. What is even more ironic is that they are going to network share with
T-Mobile.

I think three are tied in with Orange, but, not absolutely sure.

People who are using the 3 network may not have coverage in some areas
because in september i think it is the deal they have with O2 comes to an
end.

Hi Andy.

I'm not making any promises about whether you will or will not be charged. I've never been charged for WFA on payg, but then when I've been on contract which has been from June last year, I've always paid for an unlimited data plan. If you've an unlocked phone, by all means pop in to a three store and pick up a payg sim or if you want L10 complementary credit you can buy the sim online. Either way, its not a major investment and you can trial three
for yourself to see if it is free to use WFA.

All the best, Ibrahim.
