Hi Alex

Yes, you have misunderstood what I said. What I explained to you was
that if you put mute on keylock to yes, you won't hear Talks at all.
But rebooting your phone unlocks it until you choose to lock it again.

But there is definitely an issue with ring tones not being heard in the
4.10 release. I get round it by putting mute on keylock to yes, but not
all customers will understand this, and have started to ask why they are
missing calls and text alerts.

Hi Alex,

You have that wrong. You can't switch off when locked, so when you
switch on it would always be unlocked, hence unmuted. Mute on keylock
means just that.

All the best

Steve

Hi Barbara,

Thanks for that.

Mute on Key lock is set to Yes, but if I remember something Jackie said
to me on this when I saw her at Sight and Sound when I was there on
another matter, muting the Key Lock means if it's muted and you switch
your phone off and then on, doesn't that mean there won't be any speech
at switch on, or have I got that wrong?

Alexander Shannon
