Carol, You can only cursor through text you've written letter by letter.
What Steve and others are talking about is being able to cursor through text
word by word in messages you've received or messages you've already sent.
Cheers
Alex

Yeah, OK, well I have done that too and did it first, ages back ... but it
still reads letter by letter when I cursor right or left across text I've
written. <HMMM!>

Are there any other conditions which would affect that setting, does anyone
know?

I sure wish I could get it to work. Incidentally, I love predictive text
with the N95, but I don't bother to do it on the 6630 because the dictionary

is so limited and I'd have to put in loads of words. It's jolly good and
quicker on the N95 though. Thanks!
