Thanks Jackie. I'm on contract currently and would only use it when away from home, which isn't too often these days, so I don't expect high bills often.

I'm off on hols in a couple of weeks and, just in case I want any email or need to talk to a friend, I thought I'd get it up and running. I'll probably do it tomorrow, but it could be the weekend before I get a break to do so.

Hi Carol

Are you on contract or pay-as-you-go? If the latter, be
careful of charges, I think about 50p a shot and then
depending on how you use it. Once you download it onto
your phone, you can launch it when you want to use it as
a modem on your Netbook or laptop. When I travelled
around for S and S, I did this every night in the hotel,
it was great. I only wanted to retrieve my Emails, so I
turned on my Netbook, launched Joik, then got a wireless
connection and proceeded to collect or send Emails. You
can also use the phone to make or receive calls while
Joik is running, but be careful about battery life, it'll
be gobbled up!

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for the info.

I've just signed up and purchased. Now I'm about to set
up.

Will it be an easy one <Smiles>
