Filling in the gaps Jackie IT was tough on you OK being late back to work *smile*. I have chargers which plug in to the USB on my PC and the other end in to the phone, it is like the end peace on the plug charger obviously.

Hi Brian

I got it from my local Carfone Warehouse. I also bought a spare charger for
my N86 as I like to keep chargers at home for my phones, but spares in my
travel bag so I don't go away and forget them. So I got a spare charger,
and the pouch which only cost a fiver as they are doing a buy one get the
second item half price. It does the job, even though I can't use the phone
while it is inside the case.

The only thing that pissed me off a bit was how they only seem to have one
or two at most serving at lunchtimes. My Support Worker Jackie and I
decided to hotfoot it down there during our lunch hour. There was a long
queue, so we thought we'd nip into nearby Asda and call back. When we did,
they were still busy, so it made us late getting back!! Shshshsh don't
tell!! (smile).

Kind regards,

J

Hi Jackie,

can I ask where you got your pouch from?

Brian.

Hi Alistair

I can vouch that the keypad and all other buttons on the N86 are excellent
from a non-sighted perspective. As regards Talks, and as discussed many
times on this list, it doesn't work properly with Email and Internet at
the
moment.

But the N86 is a cracking handset, and I wouldn't let that put you off
unless it is absolutely imperative that you need these applications right
now.

And, on the N86 theme, I got a nice pouch for mine the other day which
I've
been looking for now for some time. I can't use the phone in it, but what

I
bought is certainly ideal for keeping it clean and free from scratches.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

J

Hi folks,

Been in a bit of a dither over choosing a new phone, choice between either

a
iphone or a talks compatible Nokia. Can someone confirm that neither of
the
major screen readers for mobiles function fully with the n86? Or maybe
someone knows of a alternitive which will work with talks which is wy fy,
has GPS on board and is a good music player, the n86 seems to be most of
these but also seems to be more of a digital camera than anything else
which
does put me off a bit. Anyone currently using the N86? is the keyboard as
good as the N82? going into town at the weekend to have a look but all
help
would be appreciated. Off list E mail is below.
