I think Steve that it is a matter of taking a few days to become familiar with
the new versin of Talks and isn't n82 one of the phones mentioned as supported
by Talks? I've just been enjoying listening to a Word document read to me on
the phone and I am most impressed. I have also put a Daisy book on and it is
excellent. A few things people talked about and I just could not get them to
work but kept at it and eventually I did. It was my lack of familiarity with
the complete Talks Premium. I cannot work out why some of my Word files
willnot open however. Definitely an improvement though and talks sounds much
sharper.

Hi list, just installed Talks 4 on my N85 and my initial thoughts are
mixed I guess. The pluses are being able to reassign the talks key, the daisy
player and the fact you can select a ringtone without muting talks. The
minuses are talks still doesn't read the radio window, the photos window and I
can't tab between phone memory and memory card in the gallery view. Talks is
also reading some odd stuff when in a message window. In the "to and text"
fields it says "add/text, dictionary upper case", even when its set to lower
case!...it didn't say anything like this before. 1 more thing is that a
message tone still will not be played when talks is on and the phone is locked,
only when muted. I think because specific phones are listed in the "supported
phones" list, you can get the impression that work is done to make talks work
specifically on that phone, but really it's an across the board support for the
cymbian platform...and I'd be interested to find out if there's much difference
from phone to phone when it comes to functionality of specific apps. Cheers
Steve.
