OK, Graham, I'd like to answer for you, since mine is also improved. However, I just can't read that number from the screen and remember it and don't know how to read it digit by digit as nothing is working. If you can help me, I'll tell you.I know it's something like 12.01319 then I can't get the rest.I would upgrade mine further but understood, I think from Steve, that because mine's basically a Vodophone handset, you can't upgrade the firmware. Thanks for telling me how to do it! by the way! Sorry I can't get any further without help. -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxI have On Monday, March 16, 2009 5:16 PM (UK time), Graham Page at gpage@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx said:what firmware do you have? use *#0000# to find out. I have the N95 8GB and find that talks 4 is less responsive than talks 3. It does not let you review ring tones without muting the phone. It does say numbers where numbers are required in a text box. I've not tested viewing of word documents yet but if you can read them this could be useful. If you have an N95 however and don't need to read word documents or play daisy books then you may be better sticking with talks 3 in my opinion as it seems to be a lot more responsive. The pluses are being able to reassign the talks key, the daisy player and the fact you can select a ringtone without muting talks. The minuses are talks still doesn't read the radio window, the photos window and I can't tab between phone memory and memory card in the gallery view. Talks is also reading some odd stuff when in a message window. In the "to and text" fields it says "add/text, dictionary upper case", even when its set to lower case!...it didn't say anything like this before. 1 more thing is that a message tone still will not be played when talks is on and the phone is locked, only when muted. I think because specific phones are listed in the "supported phones" list, you can get the impression that work is done to make talks work specifically on that phone, but really it's an across the board support for the cymbian platform...and I'd be interested to find out if there's much difference from phone to phone when it comes to functionality of specific apps.
