Hi,

I use a Nokia keyboard to write text messages with as I can't always be bothered to write them using my phone pad as my fingers get tired! So tell me someone please, if any of you out there uses a nokia keyboard to write messages with, can you copy, cut, and paste with that? And can you scroll back whole words as you do on a computer?

Kawal.

There should be copy and paste. I have a 3650, and use it all the time. Press edit once. When you press it a second time, don't let go. Keep holding the edit key and press the left and right erros. Key one should be copy once you've selected something. Now when you want to paste that, press edit once, and hold it a second time. Key two should now be paste.

Hope this helps,
Blake

OK, no problem. What's re enter? Is that another function on the phone or is it where if you press the edit key twice wherever you are in your message you can reply by hitting that key?

Hi,
Sorry, I know how to engage the edit function, but having read the manual I do not think there is a paste etc function. I only use delete and re enter to edit.

Dear Phillip,
I wonder if you can tell me how to cut, coppy and paste text when you are writing a text message using talks? I have a 66 80 phone. I haven't come across any key which says copy, paste, or cut text but I would like to do it if that's possible.
Thanks.
Kawal Gucukoglu.

Hi Clive,
The edit key has indeed been assigned to Talks. To use the edit function press the key twice. HTH

Hello listers, I know this isn't strictly Talks-related, but it may have some bearing on my question. How do you edit text on a mobile phone with Talks? According to the help topic, when selecting letters or words you press the edit key and move the joystick left or right. To copy the selected text you hold the edit key and press copy, to paste do the same and press paste. I have tried selecting text but it doesn't seem to work. Is this because Talks has been assigned this key and therefore disabled the edit function? I am using the Nokia 6600 and wonder if this problem is just with Nokia phones or others which support Talks. Any help would be most appreciated. thanks in advance. Best wishes, Clive pallet -- No virus found in this incoming message.
