Thanks, Joe; this is great.

How much is Windows 7 for an older PC? Mine is about 5 years old, and right now, I don't want to invest in new PC's, and I know what you said about MS not supporting XP. I think it is coming up in October 2010 or January 2011, so, at that point, I might have to do something like getting a new PC.

Darla

Hi, if using JFW latest build Freedom Scientific has lots of stuff on
training on their site. You also can download them thru the Jaws update
manager .

Wow Chip; I'll have to see what Hadley has, and maybe I'd use more of the
Outlook features, if I got comfortable with them.

I have MSOffice 2007 with PowerPoint, Outlook, MsPublishing, Excel, and it
seems I have one more app in it, but I can't recall now.

I also need the reverence cards from How Press; have had a very long day so
will order those tomorrow morning.

Hi Darla,

Just an FYI, the email part of Outlook isn't all that different from
outlook express; it's only that it has all these extra features you can
use.

I'm sure I can find you the outlook keystroke guide if you're interested
in switching over.

I find outlook absolutely indispensible, and use it both at home and at
work, to track tasks, appointments, meetings, and even journal events so
I'll have a record.

I'm sure access technology institute and other such places have an
outlook tutorial, and I bet I can come up with an e-book, if people want
to write me off list and tell me which version of outlook they want a
book for. the books are for general sighted users, and so the tutorials
written for screen reader users might be better for those a little
unsure of translating instructions to click something into keyboard
commands.

I've recently been told the Hadley school has published free MS Office
tutorials for screen reader users.

hth,

Chip

Dear Joe,

I saw the older version, too; maybe I could have gone into it from a
different part of the page and see if I can read them then.

I probably need to go to Outlook since that is what many
employers use, but
I want to get the reference card first with all the shortcut
keys since it
is so different from Outlook Express.

Do you think I should revert back to the default settings for
color and
font?

With Sincere thanks,
Darla & Precious Roxy
