I cast to length and at most will have to cut off .05" to get everything to
fit nicely. Normally its just a simple case of run a razor around at an
angle to get a dish and then pop it into the liner.
Note I am using sorbitol which is very hard to cut as it either gums up the
blade or breaks.

I'm guessing that grain length isn't as critical as I'm making it out to
be, especially if the ends of the grains are designed to be uninhibited.
