Kelly, Sorry, I didn't understand what you were trying to do.  What you get
with the slash key can be split in to two equal parts with the following
keys.  The comma will play up to the cursor, and the period key will play
the bit after the cursor.

When I use the slash key both the time five seconds before the cursor is
played and the five seconds after the cursor is played.  Is it possible
using the keyboard to just play the time before the cursor or just play the
time after the cursor without playing both at once?
