yep that’s the way i do it. although i am not up on windows 10, as i use a mac
most of the time these days. But basically if i was going to do this task with
studio recorder i’d set the screen reader to only use the on board sound,
then get a nice interface for all other audio, , and tell studio recorder to
use this device. it should be doable, but you might have to play around a bit.
I think you may have to make your default device the interface you want to
record from, then
when you play music, and things from the internet it should go to your audio
interface. and you will have your screen reader coming through your on board
sound and not being recorded. Interfaces for this are not to expensive,
depending on what you want, they would start from $100 for something basic,
the presonis audio box 44 is quite a good 4 channel interface . but there
are quite a lot out there. depending on what you want to do. If you only want
to record things from the internet, you would not need anything too major.

Your only choices for not recording the speech synthesizer are to mute it or

In such a scenario, how do you keep from recording your speech synthesizer?

What settings should I set to record straight from the sound card without
the microphone. I want to record streams and other sounds that are chaneled
to the speakers.
