Hi all,
Now you all will think my email is over dramatic, but at least read the damn
thing first, before you all thikk that, ok? I would yours, if you felt the way
I feel at the moment!
First, today, I couldn't dictate some braille files from my notebook into a
dictation program, using microsoft word, so, those files are gone, never to be
returned, and so, all the braille files I wanted to get rid of from all my
braille notebooks, are not going to be able to be done, so, all the stuff I
wanted to digitize, will not be able to be digitized, so, if there is a fire or
flood, I'll lose all the stuff I have ever done in braille, personal files,
etc.!
Second, now, Studio Recorder screws my plans for recording. Folks, we all need
to take our tapes and digitize them. After all, if there is a fire or flood,
you will lose everything you've ever redcorded on those tapes. I tell cliants
to do this, all the time, so, I need to do it myself!
So, tonight, I'm recording something from 3 tapes to the computer, using studio
recorder. I was almost done, and then I get this damn message, which said,
"studio recorder dialogue, there is not enough room to complete this document,
ok button."
What in the hell is this all about, my friends? Why is studio recorder limiting
my recording? It got to the 202 minute point in the recording, then, I get that
message.
What am I going to do? All the tapes with personal stuff on them, which I will
never get back, I just want to digitize the damn things!
I paid $200 for this?
So, what would you all do? Maybe you are all ok with losing all your personal
stuff, at least many people I talk to about doing these kind of things don't
give a darn what they don't save for the future. But I do, I want to save what
I need to save!
So, does anybody know of someone who can take all my tapes and digitize them? I
was hoping to do it myself, because then, I wouldn't have to pay someone, but
obviously not, huh?
I know this message is over dramatic, but at the moment, I don't care how it
sounds. Between the dictation mess, and the recording mess, all my stuff, all
my personal and technical stuff I have brailled over the years, and that I've
recorded over the years, will not be able to be saved, it sure looks like it
anyway!
If that is the case, my life is over, I mean what do I have to live for? All
the wonderful things I have here, all the personal stuff I have, I can't save
it now, not the braille stuff, not the recorded stuff.
I hurt right now, very, very, much!
Harry
