Both gold wave and sound forge have not increaded their prices in a
couple years, and Sony bought SF and not appreciably increased the
price. If SR increases the price it will be out of the market and not
really compete as it should with the others.

The price of Studio Recorder is $200, for both the CD-ROM version and the Electronic versions. This program has undergone a lot of major changes and additions, since its inception, for which the price has remained the same and not increased! There aren't many programs you can say that about.
