After hearing that I really don't see why we should sponsor these people
from the department. Sure they have helped us a fair bit but we could do so
much more with $660, and we could thank them in so many other ways. As
Ashwin has mentioned using our sponsor's funds to pay for social event
tickets to outsiders (as perceived by the sponsors) isn't the best thing we
could do to leave a good impression on our sponsors.
This also shouldve been fully funded by SPEWA as it would probably be one of
their only chances this year to fill in the and I quote "student chapter
member participation *sponsored by SPE Local/Regional groups*" part of the
report. For the yearly report I helped write a few weeks ago I had to BS my
way through that and I really dont want to have to be left with nothing to
say again for the chapter report which is going to be due very soon.
I don't like the look of things with this ball.
