RR I disagree with you on this. There was an eye witness to a meeting between
Moshe Dyan, Israeli defense minister and Levi Eshkol the Israeli prime
minister. He reported THEY were the ones that authorized the attack with Dyan
assuring Eshkol that they could sink the Liberty and kill any survivors (dead
men tell no tales). The "motive" was that they were afraid the Liberty had
ELINT proving that Israel intended to widen the war which they had been warned
not to do by Washington. Equally criminally complicit was Lyndon Johnson and
Robert McNamara who demanded that our F-4s, minutes away from intercepting the
Israeli planes be recalled IMMEDIATELY. McNamara is quoted as saying that
Johnson didn't want to threaten the US/Israeli relationship (read Jewish lobby)
over "a few sailors." The time line proves beyond A DOUBT that had our planes
been allowed to fulfill their mission, many of those American sailor's lives
could have been saved. McNamara now claims he has "no recollection" of such an
order being given. Just another example of his moral cowardice that fucked us

The only explanation I can think of that fits all the facts is that during the
heat of battle some over zealous Israeli commander called the attack on the
Liberty and when higher ups found out they called it off.
Israel commits what you and I consider war crimes and crimes against humanity
against Palestinians, Iranians and other on an almost daily basis. So does the
U.S. when they murder innocent people including woman and children in other
countries with drone strikes.

numbered and one FLASH message was NOT numbered?

Stan, what angers me and suggests that you are very stupid is that you take
the side of Israel over LIBERTY's crew.
We have had many opportunities to disobey international laws, but we do not.
Israel clearly disobeyed International Law - we have a recording from the
pilot who was sent to shoot the ship saying it had a USA flag on it.
They knew it was a USA ship and they shot it any way, but what was far worse
is they shot them men in lifeboats.
I don't know about the others on this "net" but shooting seamen who are in a
lifeboat is so EVIL that it is a giant crime.
I was a seaman - all of us were - do you think shooting men in lifeboats was a
EVIL act?
