This is just an idea, but instead of trying to do a whole round of drafting
per/day (for week days), we could just do half a round, or even 2/3rds of a
round. I know that's probably not ideal as it would slow things down, but if we
have coaches in all 4 time zones, and some with work conflicts, it might be
best. Also, we could theoretically do more picks on Saturday and/or Sunday (if
nobody has a work conflict on the weekends). I know at least one already
expressed a desire to avoid weekends, but I think skipping the entire weekend
is going to be tough if we want to finish before X-Mas... LOL!
One option for the weekends (since we have more hours if nobody is working)
would be to have longer times between picks. Like 30 minutes or even an hour,
vs. the 20 minute picks for the week-nights. Just throwing some ideas out there
to see what sticks.

Hello Kathy,
I may be able to adjust the times some after I know who is drafting where. But
I also don’t want any East time zone coaches having to stay up until midnight
either which could limit how late I can move the time slots.
Not everyone will be able to make every time slot. In that case each of us
needs to be able to receive a text message or email with who has been taken and
then send back a short list asking someone specific to select for you OR create
a list the night before and ask someone to make your pick based on your list. I
will open the draft the evening (Thursday night) before so there will be less
picks to make on Friday making it easier to make a list or make the timeslot
picks later. Then we will move into Saturday and Sunday for rounds 2 and 3.
This will at least help with the first three rounds, probably the most
important rounds.

As I look at the days and times of the draft, I have a preference for at least
late afternoons and evenings. As a teacher, I have limited access and time
during the school day.

Hello Ken,
You can protect one player at the beginning of each round along with the other
6 returning teams.
Then the 17 dispersal draft teams select players either from the pool or a
returning team roster.
Only 1 player can be taken from any single returning team per round.
If a returning team chooses not to protect a player, then that coach can select
a with pick #18 in the round (if there is only one team that made this
decision), either from the pool or from a returning team (if each team has not
had one player already selected).

Hello Jason,
How may guys can I protect?

HIC
time slots look okay but would like to stay away from weekends as I deliver for
Amazon. If not, I can work around it.
