Dave,
You are correct in all this.  Sound essentials came with Sib 5.  I doubt any of 
the sounds in sib 7 would work with 5 because new and better sounds were part 
of the promotional thing for sib 7.  so, Barbie should indeed look for a folder 
within her sib 5 installation.
