K, Got it, and you've seen my post to Dan by now. Wow. My scores must look pretty darn awful. If you select one note and hit tie, a tie will be created that dangles in space because nothing is to the right of the note to which you have appended the tie. Only the next note, once created, will be tied to the first. 2. To create a slur over multiple notes, select the notes which you wish to join with a slur and press s. 3. If you select a group of notes and press the tie button, you will get all the notes tied together and a dangling tie off the last, right most note. However, these ties will not create a slur over all the notes. What you will get is a curved line that starts at the first note and stops at the next note, followed by a new curved line that begins at the second note and stops at the third. IN no event would you want to select a group of notes and join them with a tie as distinct from a slur. Print guys would never do that. If you select 4 notes and hit the tie button those 4 notes will be tied/slurred. If you hit tie on a single note and there is no note yet following, I'm pretty sure that all subsequent notes will be slurred until you press the tie button again. the details are in the Sib Access guide (Ctrl-F1 and the first item). When you select a passage and put a slur over it,is the last note of the selection slurred to the next one which you haven't selected or does the slur finish at the last note of your selection?
