Ugur, You need to make sure that JAWS itself is using the laptop layout. 1. Press JAWS Key + J. 2. If JAWS is running from its own window, the JAWS window will come to the front, in which case you should press the Alt key to enter the JAWS menus. 3. If JAWS is running from the system tray then the JAWS menus will open directly from there. 4. From the menus choose Options and then Basics. 5. This should open the JAWS basic options dialog. 6. Tab to the use keyboard layout combo box. 7. Use the arrow keys to select the option called "laptop". 8. Make sure that the option is not the "classic laptop" option,. It must only read "laptop". 9. Tab to the OK button and press the space bar. 10. Now go back to Sibelius. 11. From the file menu choose quick start. 12. Once the quick start dialog opens press Ctrl+F1 and check the keyboard layout option again. Hope this helps, Dan Rugman visit the new on-line resource for visually impaired musicians and home of Sibelius Access. www.musicaccess.co.uk -----Original Message----- From: sib-access-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:sib-access-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ugur Yuvarlak Sent: 05 April 2009 12:44 To: sib-access@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [sib-access] laptop issue Hello, well this topic has been mentioned a lot but still there is a problem at my side too. I installed sibelius access on a laptop but problem here is that in this laptop jaws 8 is installed. I followed the instructions to configure the access for the laptop command set, however I think it doesn't recognize my keyboard setting. whenever I open access options by ctrl+f1, it shows my keyboard being desktop. Another thing too, the caps lock key is not working on access as well, I can't substitute it with insert key either. I.E. I can't read the current line pressing either caps or insert keys. One last thing too, in the preferences menu the listboxes are not read correctly, I get a message saying "no item selected" when I move in a list.
