Marée,

I have been looking for the instructions to write and delete chord symbols.
This seems to be quite a different procedure than was in Sib Speak or Sib 3.
Where do I look to find these? I did Ctrl+K to write a simple B flat 7 but
it read B 97 so there's a sound for you to get your ears around and imagine.

Also where do I look to extract parts.

Yes, Dave, I think so. Too scared to take the laptop off the docking
station though in case it does rotate. (Luddite logic).

Guess I'll have to learn to write drum charts all over again but I think
that's a nightmare I'll postpone till next week if I can.

Apart from that, brilliant so far and I'm steadily practicing the new
methods one by one.
Cheers,
Marée

You are most welcome. I hope your assistant was able to turn off the hotkey
combination that rotates the screen, so that you don't land in the same
problem again.

Hi David,
Just wanted to say thanks for the help and support over the last few months
with helping me get my Sibelius Access scripts working. I am up and running
with it now, but I admit I had to get someone to help me with getting the
screen rotation issue sorted and indeed your diagnosis was the key to my
freedom at last.

I can now enjoy applying and appreciating the fantastic work Dan has done on
creating the scripts as well as your Milestones document. Thank you so much
for all this.
Sincerely,
Marée Steinway
Happy! Happy! Again.

Hello Marée,
I wonder if you're using a laptop?

You may have suffered a screen rotation, which would not be obvious unless
someone nearby with vision can look at your display. However here are some
instructions that I collected on how to get the screen rotated back to where
it belongs

Tip # 1

é
------

Tip #2

Step-by-step, no frills...

Control Panel
Display
Settings Tab
Advanced Button
Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Tab (could be slightly different based
on your laptop) Graphics Properties button Ensure that notebook is the tab
Use JAWS cursor to find the words: "Display settings" and click List box
appears saying Display settings Use JAWS cursor to find the word rotation
and the checkbox. uncheck. it
Press Okay until you're all the way out.

Plug and Play Monitor and Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset...
General Adapter Monitor Troubleshoot Color Management
Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile
More visual display options for devices attached to
this computer, such as:
Television
Digital Display
Notebook
Monitor
are available here : Graphics Properties...

I hope that either of these are the solution.

Subject: Sibelius Access Installed Now

Hi David,

Thanks for the scripts that you gave me some time ago. I have had quite a
battle with getting Sibelius Access installed but at least now it is running
- funnily enough after I deleted some old stuff from my Recycle Bin.

I hope you will forgive me for bothering you off the list again but there's
yet another issue I just can't resolve and I'm not sure if my messages are
getting through to the Sib Access list.

Can you please help?

I cannot use the Ctrl+Alt+up&downarrow that I used to use to get between the
staves when I had Sib 3. According to the Sib Access User Guide, I should
be able to do this, right?

I am using Win 7 pro 64, JAWS 14, Sibelius Access is set to DeskTop.

The scripts look very impressive and comprehensive. Wish I wasn't such a
dummy and I hate bothering you like this.

Well, that's about it. Think I'm getting closer to having some good news
though.

Hope all is well in your world.

Marée (Steinway)
