It's tight, since Sibelius themselves advise 512 MB just for Sibelius.
That theoretically leaves 512 MB for your system and JAWS which is
really pushing things to the wire.

Bravo, my question too.

Now, just to make this a bit more than a one-liner, let me just say:

I 've been following the Sibelius Access list for a while now and
finally got around to upgrading from version 3 etc.

I recently obtained an Acer (spelled a c e r, not a s u s) netbook,
1.6gHz processor, 160gb harddrive, 1gig ram, whose max screen
resolution is 1024 by 600. The only other option is 800 by 600.

I'm having troubles which I won't go into now as I realize I need to
get much much closer to the docs, smile. I am running in Desktop mode
with an external keyboard, so I don't think that's the issue.

I just need to know if this platform will work or if I really need to
see about other options. I will check into expanding the memory and
cpu speed.

Help appreciated.

John Sanfilippo

squelching it.

I'm arrowing through a score, listening to the notes to learn a new
piece.
Then I press Escape to get out of the staff so I don't accidentally
enter
new notes into the score. I practice the notes I learned on my
keyboard. I
press the Tab key to get back to the place where I left off.

Well I usually end up going right back to the beginning of the score,
not
where I left off.

How do I "lock" my current position so that after pressing Esc I can
tab
right back to that beat/bar in the piece?
