Dale, The whole manual is in the jaws folder and is html. It is html, but it does not go online, even though it may sound like it is going on line. This issue confused me at first, until I caught on. And I must say I rather like the html because it often links you to relevant material which flat text can't do. Regarding analogies to sib speaking, this is just my personal opinion: if analogies to sib speaking help you remember, fine, but when I got my mac, I made it a big priority to learn the lingo. For instance there are keys called control, option, command and return. These correspond to the PC keys: control Windows or start button, alt or menu key, and enter. And I can go on and on. I found this a bit painful, but I felt I just hadda do it right, and this seemed right to me. Good to see you here. hth, john s The information contained in this email transmission and any attachments may contain information that is privileged and or confidential and is intended only for the individual or entity to which it is addressed. One observation that might make it easier for others is that there IS no Sibelius folder on that software DVD. The installation executable is actually in the WINDOWS folder. Yesterday I somehow stumbled upon a user's guide for Access. I don't know how I got there, and cannot find that reference now. Help please? Also, is the whole manual on internet HTML only? Or is there a version one can use locally? Thank you for your help. I'm eager to be at home in this new world. BTW, is it OK to reference Sibelius Speaking, the JAWS scripts we used prior to the advent of Access? I think I would find the comparison of keystrokes, etc., a helpful way to gain command of this new system.
