Congratulations, Tom! You are one of the courageous ones who (like me) detest
the lack of self-education at least to some small degree before simply asking
for the answer. The SI List lately has been fraught with "brain pickers,"
many from overseas who are taking jobs away from "locals". Helping one to
understand difficult subject matter is one thing, and is admirably highlighted
by the
heated/beneficial discussions for which this reflector is known. However, I
infer from the slew of very general and basic questions seen over the past
several months (particularly for some reason by Hotmail subscribers) that
ill-trained and/or lazy designers are looking to short-cut their own education
and
appear to become competitive through the years of education of others. I
suggest
we all encourge healthy interchanges, but not "give away the store."
(And it was good to meet you in person at DeisgnCon 2004.)
