Tom,

Asking simple questions could be due to laziness, but
could also be due to other, more acceptable reasons.
If you hear an expression and want to find out a little
more about it, but suppose you dont need to work
on that field otherwise, it is reasonable to ask simple
questions from people who know.  And the first
half of your response gave the prompt, and probably
sufficient guidence.
