[ SHOWGSD-L ] <showgsd> SURROGATE Bitches for feeding

Has anyone had to use their other bitch who has milk for a new litter? how
does that affect the relationship with the puppies and their mom? will she
reject them after say a few feedings? Just waiting to see when my females milk
is
coming in full force.. been 48 hrs and i have a tiny puppy that went from 13.5
oz to 12.5 and the rest of the litter has also gone down from 595 grams to
551 and another 677 to 598 grams... all vigorus still, no crying, its nice and
warm in there mom is staying with them... unless my scale is wrong i did
change the batteries from the Feb litter... the Dec litter seemed ok...
Yani's last litter the puppies lost for like 2 days and then slowly started
gaining and then got normal... but i dont remember what her mammary glands
looked like.. now she looks just as if she was pregnant <sigh>
No i dont have tube feeding kit but do have bottles and espilac with goats
milk... vet said hang tight this morning but for some reason now i just want to
prepare myself and think about my options... thus wondering if i should have
Catja who has 5 week puppies, nurse them.. someoen told me Yani could reject
the puppies!! not sure what to do... never happened before :(
