I agree with the vet here.  I have had a kennel and we had this type of 
kennel cough go through, nasty and we ended up having to close down for 6 weeks 
to 
clear it up.  Most of my dogs did not get it, only one but he got it bad. 
 
I also do not think treating dogs for just a few days before it goes to its 
new home, does anything but hurt them when it comes to antibiotics.
