You would have to personally get that sinking feeling when you've been served
and then have your fellow Board Members vote "NOT TO INDEMNIFY". That in itself
would make you ask is this worth it!? As discussed before, there needs to be a
signed document either when joining the club or serving on the board that
states you will not hold the club or it's members libel or bring action against
them. It's time to say enough is enough!

I would think that we have learned our lesson from the first - namely Hunte.
Now this is the third within a short time (2 - 3 years?) and nothing has
been done?
Please, people, we need to get with it. If our Board members are not
protected there may not be a Board in the future, and consequently no club.
Who would want to be "in the line of fire" continuously? Let's not forget
that these people are volunteers. It would be nice if they could get down to
business regarding OUR GS's.

Nevada statutes provide that members of a board of directors, acting in good
faith, in the performance of their duties are not personally liable. Several
law suits have tried to penetrate this shield but have failed. Only illegal
activity is not shielded.

I think we need to smarten up and figure out a way to protect our board
members from being sued. Other clubs have protection for their boards, it
takes us 3 times?of board members having lawsuits brought against them, when
they are carrying out the rules and regulations which are the same for
everybody.

I think too many people have raised conspiracy theories lately. This is a
dog club - people volunteer their time and when the majority vote a certain
way, you the members, should have faith in their actions, believe they are
well founded and informed. If this continues no sane person of means will
run for the Board. Those threatening suit can ignore the vote of the
majority. I have never been involved in any organization where the minority
has dictated to the majority and ignored the majority vote except the GSDCA.
Sadly, the loser is the very reason we all got involved in the first place-
the dogs. For three years, first Hunt, then Golant v. GSDCA and now another
threat of litigation. Name the achievements of this club over the past three
years. No one is perfect but when someone makes mistakes they need to own
their actions and stop the blame game . Send a message to those who wish to
sue or file charges, if they run for election send them a pink slip-Kris
