I am not totally sure what arrangements the PC makes with the hotels for
the time period of the National. For the weekend of the Santa Maria/San
Luis Bay GSDC Specialty, our club reserves a block of 10 rooms in 3
different hotels. In the case of last year, it was a pretty good idea,
due to the Michael Jackson trial. It started the same weekend as our
specialty.
I do give the hotels my cell phone number and call them after the
show to check on how the rooms and the hotel property were kept. It just
helps the relationship.

Why does the parent club set up a group of hotels besides the host
hotel. NASCAR does not accept responsibility for all the fans that cone
to the races. The Sieger show doesn't find hotels for 40,000 people that
attend or accept responsibility for their dogs. I wouldn't wreck a hotel
room just because I wouldn't want them to charge me for it. I went to
the National this year at the last min. and found a hotel that took dogs
at the first one I came to.

I will NEVER understand why people do this. It is an easy thing to
crate a
dog, and for safety's sake alone you would think they would do so. We
never
ever leave dogs in a room even crated, they GO with us, for our peace
of mind.
The Parent Club needs to come down HARD on these people to stop it.
Seems
like every year at a futurity or the Nationals that this happens.
These
idiots are costing us sites and hotels.
