what we humans choose to do to ourselves is just that - our choice.  if we do 
something that we know is unhealthy but choose to do it anyway, then we have 
no one else to blame for the consequences.  but we cannot claim to love these 
dogs and, in the same breath, use substances on and in them that might, in ANY 
way, be injurious to their health.  too high a price for the dog to pay so we 
can hang a ribbon on the wall.
