Not to mention an oops on a nail could maybe mean having to pull becuse of a
limp, been there done that.

Now, as a handler, I think all dogs being shown should be bath the morning
of the show or at least the day before. Nails should be trimmed a couple of
days before the show. And, ears should be cleaned a couple of days before the
show. Ears and nails at the last minute, the morning of a show could be very
stressful on the dog and the person grooming.
