Well, I wasn't going to jump in here as everyone else was expressing my
thoughts anyway but after reading this I have to.....What Dawn said in Ed's
quote
was exactly the phrase I used when trying to sell the new Breeders Code to the
previous Board and I believe I also wrote it to the List.
We all get riled up when something like this happens, delighted to have
someone to point the finger at and get very sanctimonious about it all.....BUT
do you remember how incensed everyone became when I tried to revise the code,
make it stronger with heavy language about contracts and taking responsibility
for any dogs we produce? Interestingly enough, I got alot of flack from some
of our big breeders, but none from rescue people.....
Yes.....this is kind of an "I told you so".....meant kindly and
constructively. Maybe when the new Board entertains the revision of the Code,
we can
get it done.
I'm still hoping.
