[ SHOWGSD-L ] Who makes the decision?

You see, there is the problem.
No one outside the ring can see what a judge sees inside the ring. A dog
can look like a spook from outside and be perfectly sound. Also, a dog can
stand like a statue inside the ring, but have eyes darting back and forth.
Now, if a dog tries to bite the judge, or growls, that is clear. But trying
to judge a dog from outside the ring, will not work. Also, anyone who has
judged for a few years can pick a sound dog from ten feet away. But, it
still is a dog show, and even if you are not going to consider a dog, you do
the entire examination, watch the dog down and back and around. You owe
that to the exhibitors. But, you also owe it to the dogs to do the right
thing, no matter what those outside the ring think.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
