Some Dane breeders tack the stomachs, most do not. I have a Dane that we
CO-own with Karen Martin (Diamond Danes) and have shown him and we are on the
Show Dane List. To say that Most Dane breeders tack the stomach's of their
Danes
is like a person saying the Angles on the American Bred Shepherds are a sign
of Hip Dsyplasia. I stay active with the Dane people as they have a wealth of
knowledge to share, just as we do. Linda Arndt has increased the life span
of her Danes to well over 10 years due to good nutrition, not from tacking the
stomachs of her dogs. Danes use to only live to 7 or 8 years. Their lifespan
has not increased due to tacking.
