Are you sure this isn't just what you want? I hear a lot of people at the
national who love the way it goes. I have been at the national every year, and
those who attend seem to like it.
For me, I would like less pomp, less days, and easier locations. But, that
is just my idea. I am not a pomp sort of guy.
If the national is at a major location, people will come. If you have it in
Florida, or Oregon, you are not going to have a big turn out. However, if you
have it on the West coast in California, not Utah, or Oregon, or on the East
coast in New Jersey or Perry, you will double the entry. The problem is we
can't ignore the minority members, just to support the majority. This
remains a club, and while the business end is important, it still has to
represent
all the members.
We have to work on those problems, but I sure would like to start
Conformation on Wednesday including the Futurity, at least up to the time our
show
grows to what it used to be.
