Bill, I am inclined to agree with you, and just with what happened to us at a 
restaurant i chalked it up to an argument. never in my wildest dreams did I 
think that the other person would pull rank as a "judge' and file a complaint.I 
consider such actions as spineless, like tattling to the teacher. However, the 
AKC seems to be clamping down on this sort of thing, especially if witness 
testimony verifies the incident. Christine

As with all things in life, actions have consequences. I chose not to file a 
Complaint, not as a conscious decision, i just didn't think of it and it does 
not work for my personal belief system with how i deal with issues like this.
I am not looking for retribution or people to do anything on my behalf, i am 
just making sure the truth is known so my "sterling" reputation (ahem!!!) is 
not tarnished with falsehoods. If an AKC complaint is filed, i am a big boy, i 
will tell the truth and the consequences will be the consequences. 
I am old fashioned and still do believe in the saying "The truth shall set you 
free".

Problem is Bill that is doesn't necessarily have to be YOU that files the
charges. Anyone who knows about it saw it, whatever can do so. If someone
does file charges and it is found that the club didn't act as they should,
then the club could be fined, again much like what happened at the
national. I can't stress enough that based on our own personal incident,
that even though the show was over, the hotel grounds is still considered
the show site. Even at a restaurant after show hours the AKC says, still a
show event.Peter Gaeta cited several incidents including one that happened
at a banquet, a dog fight at a hotel, a dog bite incident that wasn't
reported, and a few others. so based on what he stated and what  I know
personally happened to us I know I am speaking factually.. Do I agree with
the AKC long arm of the law? no not really, because I believe that you
should be able to have a heated exchange with someone without fear of AKC
intervention, BUT, they do make the rules. The fact that Evan eluded to the
event is a moot point. It doesn't make it any more or less significant.
