Well, Norma, we just had our local newspaper do a feature article on our SAR
group. It was a wonder article and great PR for our team. Unfortunately, it
also brings out people who think they might be interested in SAR. This
owner seems like she would be an asset to the team. She came out, met the
team,
and did a few training exercises with us. We suggested that she come alone
the first time, you know dogless. I agreed to meet her at Petsmart to meet
her dog and see if he was trainable. It is possible to start a dog at an
older
age, just a lot harder because the puppy "sponge" effect is gone. Anyway,
the aggression will disqualify, for a lack of a better word, him from being a
SAR prospect.
