Robin McClelland has emerged victorious in her attempt to close the infamous
gas chamber in Harrison County Ohio! They are now focusing their efforts on
Trumbull County, another
"shelter" that utilizes gas to euthanize their unwanted pets. LHSH has been on
top of this issue and is hoping to be instrumental in assisting this effort. We
will update you as it progresses. LHSH would like to commend Robin on her
dedication.
Robin was effective in bringing Harrison from an almost 100% kill facility, to
nearly ZERO!

Dillon's story is not yet over. Dillon is the GSD who waited in the "back room"
of an Ohio kill facility with a softball sized, pendulous tumor distorting his
face. He was deemed unadoptable because of this and thankfully, was found and
pulled by Pat Lukos who is fostering him under SPARRO rescue. With assistance
from AGSRA, we were able to have Dillons tumor removed along with several teeth
that had been fractured. While he does have a potential adopter, we have found
that he has suffered some damage to his hip. The veterinarian at Brady's Run
believes he was struck by a car at some point in his roaming days, and it was
never repaired. He is in and has BEEN in some serious discomfort, but has never
let on. His "smile" lights up Pats heart each morning. Brady's Run is extending
LHSH a VERY reduced rate on Dillons surgery. If you would like to help with the

There is a 2 year old, purebred GSD who is totally blind in a South Carolina
shelter. He is a total sweetheart and appears to be searching for someone to
love. If you have space in your home or heart for this poor boy PLEASE CONTACT
ME today, as this is his last day. 617 538 7393 is my cell number. LHSH will
cover neuter/vaccinations/hw testing for this baby.
We would like to take this time to thank all those who have continued their
support of LHSH and AGSRA in these tough economic times. Without your help,
there would be no hope in sight for so many GSDs who have done nothing to ask
for the situation they find themselves in. As the housing market continues to
plummet, the volume of animals finding their way into "shelters" will
skyrocket. We need to be ever vigilant and assist our neighbors in any way we
can. If you have coupons for food, or extra food, or can hold a dog for someone
facing foreclosure, please consider helping. Many all breed rescues are facing
a shortage of fosters of mega proportions. If you CAN foster, please contact
