[ SHOWGSD-L ] RESCUE UPDATE

For those of you who celebrate Christmas, we find ourselves winding down to the
last frantic moments of shopping or shoveling before the holiday is upon us.
The trees are trimmed with baubles and lights; gifts placed carefully below. A
doll for Jane, or a truck for little Mikey...perhaps that diamond bracelet for
Mom that she so dreamed of.
And yet, Christmas morning will dawn cold and bleak for the many dogs who have
not found their Guardian Angel; dogs sitting silently alone in the kennels and
cages of "shelters" throughout the country. Please keep them in your thoughts.
Together with the compassionate help of people on this list, LHSH has been
blessed to have been able to rewrite the stories end for so many over this last
year. Dogs like Lukas...left to die at the end of a rope tied to a bumper.
Lukas will be celebrating what may be his FIRST Christmas ever at the home of
Krista and Craig; well fed and snoozing the day away in his fleecy blanket...or
Baby, the 9plus Senior who was spirited out of the "shelter" in her last hours;
safe now in Rescue...
We at LHSH would like to wish everyone all the Miracles of the Season and thank
you once more for the incomparable generosity you have shown.
I will leave you with this; "Imagine what you would attempt to accomplish if
you knew you could not fail"...Never be afraid to be that "one voice"..Who
knows what lives you may change..perhaps even your own!
