I think this depends on what the owner is looking for. If they are
showing the dog for fun and as a social activity and enjoy going to
shows, I would have no problem showing her as much as they want. Of
course, this is providing the dog is not exhibiting any pain in
gaiting as the result of having bad elbows and hips. I certainly
would not breed her no matter how much she was winning or what she
achieved.
I had a dog many years ago that was DJD in his elbows. I showed him
to his championship and specialed him a bit as I loved going to shows
and it was a social/hobby activity for me. However, he was never used
at stud because of the DJD. When people asked about breeding to him, I
said no.
So I think is all depends on why they want to show and if they can
afford it as a hobby. JMHO
