Then you must factor in how "active" the breeders are in MARKETING ( and how
lucky) in the resultant puppies - I know very fine breeders that are usually
only interested in keeping a puppy for themselves from a breeding, and do
not go around in everyone's face how lovely their puppies are, and
requesting promises from buyers to show their puppy.

I agree with Iza on this -Most of the people I know breed for them selves and
place the rest as pets. The success of kennel can be determined by what the
person set out to do. I never cared about selling show pups- I felt if they
were really good I was keeping them and I wanted the rest in forever homes. My
aim was always the ROM's I never cared about selects or Gv's -
