I live in Tucson, AZ....the main post office here has been sorting and
disbursing mail for all of Southern Arizona.....This Post Office will soon
close and all the mail for aoo of Southern
Arizona will be trucked up to Phoenix(somewhere between 120 to 140 miles one
way) then sorted and trucked back down to Tucson and the rest of Southern
Arizona. It is not
like Tucson is some small hole in the wall town, Tunscon & Pima county have
well over 1,000,000 people in it. I can hardly wait until it takes 1 week
to send a letter to someone in this area and
it is 15 miles away and takes 1 week to get there.

It use to be people send and receive their bills by mail now they usually
pay them on-line
or view them there. All the companies now want you to go this way to save
money, but
they tell you it is environmental. I still make them send my bills and
statements since I know that is the best way for the Postal Service to
survive. We now send e-mails instead of sending it by mail since it is
faster to respond.
