but originally) dog shows were the place for the JUDGE to evaluate
breeding stock. Not for other people...who might be showing or just
watching. Originally, the judges were respected breeders...other
breeders wanted their opinions on their breeding stock and on the
results of their breeding programs. For the rest of us, those who
aren't judging on the day, yes, the show is a place to see the dogs you
want to know more about, etc.
