Oooo, I'm looking back to the mid & late 90s. There may have been
a dozen or more total that she hauled around, now I think of it. For
the "test" it was just an average sized group in a working pen for the
individual competition of each dog, not bunches of sheep milling about
ad nausiem on a huge piece of land tho. So, no I guess it wasn't the
big full trial. I wanted to say folks will travel with them. Norma no L

There are some cases where you can get a flock trucked in. The sheep
should have time to settle in.
I am sure when there was herding at Perry the sheep came from somewhere.
Norma - I suspect if you only had 6 sheep you did not have a full trial.

As I posted before, we opened the herding phase of it to all breeds rather
than just our GSDs, though we were a GSD only club.
It really helped a lot & was very popular. This woman trains at her
own place, but had no problem bring a half dozen sheep to our park for
the week end's competition.
