Jamie--As one of the ones who used to work the heck out of the dogs,with
gaiting or walking .I can tell you that it actually takes LESS time . Keeping
the dogs moving makes your "decision - making" much quicker. The slow judges
are the ones who walk up and down and look& look. Looking doesn't change
anything .Gaiting does. Try it next time.It's much faster judging. I do it
all
the time,whether a small or large ring--even with breeds that you don't
consider " gaiting" breeds. Whatever breed it is,each breed is expected to
move
correctly for that breed ,and I usually make my choice when the breed is in
motion. If they aren't put together correctly,they won't move
correctly,whether
it's our GSD or a Bulldog.
