I did that to a bitch back in the mid 70's and it cured her. Had a huge chicken farm across from us (oh how I cursed it when the wind blew the wrong way) and Astra loved to visit it. After 3 dead chickens, did the around the neck treatment....she was so disgusted with that thing after 10 days, so I left it another 10. She never went to the chicken farm again. Well cured. They ere city folks -- neither had any ranching background. In that community, the ood old boys advocated tying the chicken the dog had killed around its neck and eaving it there until it rotted away. Supposedly, the dog would never touch a hicken again. My dad never did that to the best of my knowledge, but I do remember the iscussions. 'Twas another time and place â??
