What my father did 63 years ago was barbaric, wrong and cruel.
People were so stupid back then, but come to think of it, some
still are. Actually he was a true lover of animals and once stayed
up all night holding baby chickens in his hands warming them in
front of the open oven door in order to save their lives. He always
rescued injured animals and instilled in me his great love of all
creatures great and small, thus I forgave his acting on bad advice.
Whenever my Mom wasn't looking, he brought me a new puppy
usually found on a deserted road. I haven't had a dad since I
was 10.....but thanks to him, I dedicated my life to dogs.
Happy Father's Day Dad. I know you are loving all my
beautiful German Shepherds!

agree with Barbara. This is the most logical way to keep a dog from getting
illing chickens or other small animals. I hope the lady, who first posted
bout the puppy killing foul, didn't tell the owner to tie a dead chicken around
he puppy's neck. Hanging a dead chicken around a dog's neck is one of the most
isgusting pieces of advice I've ever read on this list. I don't care if this
ethod works or not. It is inhumane and unsanitary, to say the least.
